Spiritual Warfare and Temptation

For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.

But he answered, "It is written, "Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God."

Jesus said to him, "Again it is written, You shall not put the Lord your God to the test."

Then Jesus said to him, "Be gone, Satan! For it is written, "You shall worship the Lord your God and him only shall you serve."

But he turned and said to Peter, "Get behind me, Satan! You are a hindrance to me. For you are not setting your mind on the things of God, but on the things of man."

Watch and pray that you may not enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak."
